I don't really know what sort of Bio information you want but will give a short one for now. I'm 48 years old, retiring from the Iron Workers trade because of too many injuries over the years. I've been fighting Social Security for nearly 2 years trying to get disability.
I carry a private pilots license for single engine aircraft. I flew Cessna's. I am also a certified Scuba Instructor with PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors) and love to spearfish, do wreck dives, and hunt for different sorts of shells. I learned to dive while working in the Marshall Islands on Kwajalein, Roi Namur, and several of the other islands of the atoll. I worked there for about six years in the 90's. Other hobbies include hunting, fishing, reading, computer flight simulations, and occasionally trying to write a book. Started three haven't finished any.
I was in the U.S. Navy for four years from 1973 thru 1977 and was honorably discharged as a Fire Control Technician 2nd Class with four years undiscovered crime, (Good Conduct Medal). Our ship, the USS Cook DE 1083 helped in the evacuation of Saigon in 1975 I've been over about half the states, Canada, Mexico, Singapore, Japan, China, Taiwan, Philippines, Wake, Midway, Marshall Islands, Ponape, Australia, and Korea. Lived in Alaska four times twice before it became a state and twice after, a lot of trips over the AlCan Highway when it was still 1500 miles of gravel
My mother, Mae M Long lives in Sullivan. My Brother Guy Halmick lives there with her and takes care of her as she had a major stroke in 89. Guy hasn't worked since St. Patty's day of 87 when he got blown off the iron by high winds and fell 45 feet. He's not paralyzed but damn sure isn't in too good of shape. My wife Lesa and my stepson Paul live here with me. She's 41 and he's 15. My oldest Brother Craig Wright, (by mom's first marriage) died on May7th, 98. My father Warren died on February 26th of 2000. That covers my immediate family. Got tons of cousins and in laws, there were 11 kids in my dad's family, most are dead now, and 8 kids in Lesa's family. So as you can see I'm over run with relatives. But as the wise man said, "God gives you your relatives, you can pick your friends". LOL.Oh, and I live about 70 miles southwest of St. Louis, Missouri in the country 6 miles outside of a small town called Sullivan. Sorry if I overloaded you but you did ask for it. Ha. Talk at you later.
. Now I'll shut up. It appears I got carried away and overloaded you with information. If there's anything else you need or any other information that I've forgotten don't hesitate to ask. I've got a thick hide and you won't hurt my feelings. LOL
One more tidbit, I'm German, Irish, Cherokee, and Sioux by decent. My mother was Irish and Indian and mean as a snake. LOL. Just kidding but she did have a hell of a temper and still does.
